Insight Dubai participants explore Emirati Culture through the film screening

March 27, 2011, Dubai, UAE — Dubai Women’s College held the 7^th Film screening, The event brought together 60 students from 30 countries together with 60 Emirati students from DWC, to take part in the 7^th Annual Insight Dubai Conference, that focuses on women and empowerment in the Arab world.

The participants came together to share and discuss issues about women empowerment and women leadership.  The aim behind this event is to let each student gain the knowledge and information from each other and to keep the participants aware of other cultures.

During the first day conference there was a mixture of activities participants took part in. Firstly they were introduced to the Emirati Culture trough the 7^th Insight Dubai film screening of its famous documentary film “Finding Mr & Mrs Right Dubai Style” which was produced in 2009 by Elham Sharaf & Hind Al Hamadi, The movie talks about different issues the new generation in Dubai face. Besides, other short films created by DWC Applied Communications students which gave the participants the opportunity to know more and understand the Emirati Culture.

ART Dubai

 Dubai women’s College arranged a field trip on march the 7th, 2011 to DIFC  “ ART Dubai”,

The gallery consisted a mixture of art works from 34 countries from around the world. The aim behind this trip is to educate the students about famous art works.
